  • 16 Clockwork CastellansResident Evil 4 Remake Collectibles Locations Guide (1)Revolution Wind-Up
  • 104Treasures (39 Village, 41 Castle, 24 Island)Resident Evil 4 Remake Collectibles Locations Guide (2)Bandit,Resident Evil 4 Remake Collectibles Locations Guide (3)Raider,Resident Evil 4 Remake Collectibles Locations Guide (4)Burglar
  • 19Merchant RequestsResident Evil 4 Remake Collectibles Locations Guide (5)Jack of All Trades
  • 29 Weapons (also requiresExtra Content Shop Weapons) – Resident Evil 4 Remake Collectibles Locations Guide (6)Gun Fanatic
  • 7 Weapon Parts – Parts Enthusiast Challenge
  • 5 Crafting Recipes – Crafty Crafter Challenge

This guide also includes the key items (such as small keys) and puzzle solutions needed to advance through the story. You can easily get everything on your first playthrough.

All Collectiblesexcept Treasures Progress carry over into New Game Plus. There is no Chapter Select or Free-Roam after the story, but you can get missing collectiblesin New Game Plus. All Treasures must be found in a single playthrough to unlock their trophies. Some collectibles can’t be reached on the first visit, those must be collected during later chapters when you have the necessary key items.

Collectible Progress can be tracked in the Challenges Menu > Feats. Treasure Progress shows on the world map in the bottom right corner after buying the treasure map from the merchant. It’s highly recommended to collect everythingat the first opportunity outlined here in the guide. Areas gradually become inaccessible when advancing the story which would lock you out of collectibles until you replay the story in New Game Plus.

Castellans are little figurines that make a sound when nearby, there’s one per chapter. They count across saves, so if you missed one you can load an older save and get it there. Treasures get marked on the map after buying the treasure map from the merchant. Some require small keys or other key items, then you must backtrack to the treasure. The required items are outlined here too. Merchant Requests are blue letters usually found near merchants that require doing little tasks, such as clearing rat infestations or shooting medallions. Weapons are bought from the merchant, but you also need the ones from New Game+ (Infinite Rocket Launcher for 2 Million ptas) and the Extra Content Shop (Chicago Sweeper & Handcannon) which requires beating the game on Professional difficulty with an A-rank, and beating a New Game (not New Game+) on Professional without using Bonus Weapons. Unlocking these Bonus Weapons is the hardest task in the game, which means getting all weapons is the hardest part of the Platinum Trophy & 1000 Gamerscore.

Selling Weapons is fine and still counts for the trophy, you only need to have owned each weapon once at any point and they count across all playthroughs. Treasures can also be sold and don’t need to be kept in the inventory. Crafting Recipes and Weapons Parts are mostly bought from the merchant, they are not needed for trophies but count for challenges that reward you with CP to buy items from the Extra Content Shop.

Files don’t count as collectibles and also don’t count towards challenges or trophies, they are not needed for anything and can be ignored. There’s no reward for finding all files.

If you die you must recollect all items after the point of death, except Castellans which stay saved. It’s best to keep a manual save from the “completed” screen after each chapter. If you missed something you can reload that save and replay the game from there without having to redo everything from scratch.

The game has a semi-open & semi-linear layout. You play in 3 main areas: Village (Chapter 1-6), Castle (Chapter 7-12), Island (Chapter 13-16). When you advance to the next location you can’t go back to the previous location during this playthrough. Certain side areas also become inaccessible as you advance through these areas so they aren’t fully free-roam. You should collect everything at the first opportunity to avoid missing something in a place that can’t be revisited. If you see a treasure icon in an area and it’s not listed in the guide at that point, it means we need some other key items and will backtrack there in a later chapter. You often need keys or other items found in later chapters to open locked drawers, shrines and so on.

Owners of the Deluxe Edition with the “Treasure Map: Expansion” DLC will have some extra Treasures spawning in the game, but those DLC treasures are not needed for trophies & achievements. This guide is based on the Standard version of the game without the DLC.
