Got one last week at Culver City, CA Costco for $2.99/#, but didn't see any there last night.
That's cheaper than the choice flats, choice chuck, etc - in fact, it might possibly be the cheapest beef they carry. Not sure why the prime packers are so cheap but I ain't complaining.

Not an unusual price in Texas. COSTCO moves a lot of prime beef.

You can have the sporadic cheap briskets, but you have to take the traffic, pollution, and crazy people too.
I'll hang on to the weather. :thumb:

Hmmm...last time I checked prime's at Costco here in Plano they were #3.29/pound. Might have to go check them out this weekend, thanks. I've seen choice at less than $2/pound for choice packers at some other local stores.

Yeah wish my costco got them too. I went a picked up a choice packer at Sam's the morning for $2.65/lb which I'm not complaining about since Select's at my Walmart are the same price. My dad will be in Kentucky next week and the costco he stops at carries the prime briskets and whole pork belly so i'm putting my order in.

The key to that problem is living by the beach. Always an ocean breeze that is blowing any pollution inland leaving some you with some dayum good air quality.
As far as them costco briskets, I check them from time to time but find that most have allot of fat in them (no bending those briskets) so I will end up at RD picking out choice instead.
Bought a 15 pounder at costco once and ended up cutting out 5 pounds of fat. Thats when I edgamucated myself in brisket pickin..
