Hi guys!
Today, I’m going to share the best of best sticky garlic wings!!!
Isn’t it sounds ready freaking delicious? Sticky! Honey! Garlic! Wings! Ah, it just stole my heart when I heard that name!
It is everything you want form the wings!
Sticky sauce, garlicky flavor, spiciness, um um um!
You can make more spicy by adding more chili peppers to your taste, I sometimes like only 1 serrano, 2 or 30- if I had a rough day and need some spicy help to release my stress! lol
I always broil my chicken wings since I learned form Nami from Just One Cookbook,
but you can definitely deep fry if you wish!
You’ve got to make this recipe because if not, you are totally missing out.. and it’s all your fault!
I shared this recipe and how to, but you are the one who is deciding to make it or not at home.
If you don’t try, I will be very sorry for you to missing out this deliciousness….
Hope you give a try this sticky garlic wings one day!!
Sticky Garlic Wings
- Author: Seonkyoung Longest
- Total Time: 53 mins
- Yield: 2 1x
Description
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 single chicken wings (approximately 1 ¼ lb)
- A thumb size ginger (approximately 1 tsp)
- 3 cloves garlic
- ¼ tsp salt & pepper
- ¼ cup rice wine (you can substitute to white wine, milk or butter milk)
- 12 cloves garlic
- 1 or 2 Serrano or jalapeno
- 2 Tbs soy sauce
- 2 Tbs honey
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl or a large ziplock bag, add chicken wings and grate ginger and garlic into it by using cheese grater or zester. Season with salt and pepper. Pour rice wine and cover with plastic wrap (or close ziplock bag tightly) and let it marinate in a refrigerator for 30 minutes to overnight.
- Prepare a baking pan by place a parchment paper or wire rack (cooking rack). Place marinate wings. Pat dry chicken wings with paper towels, and place on a prepared baking pan skin side down. Let them at least 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch a part so they can air through to be crispy.
- Broil chicken wings 10 minutes and then flip them over- now chicken wings skin side up. Broil another 10 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked, golden and crispy. Remove from oven and let’s make sauce!
- Crush garlic cloves and slice Serrano thinly.
- In a cold wok, combine soy sauce and honey. Turn on heat to medium high and bring it to boil. Add garlic and serrano and let it boil for 1 minute.
- Add broiled chicken wings, toss evenly. Remove from heat and serve immediately! Enjoy!!
- Prep Time: 30 mins
- Cook Time: 23 mins

I have a question. Can I use this recipe but with chicken legs instead?

Yes, you can! Just cook it longer in the broiler, since chicken legs are bigger than wings. 🙂

Is this similar to honey garlic pork? Can you make a recipe for honey garlic pork please? My boyfriend is severely allergic to shellfish so we can’t eat at Chinese restaurants due to cross contamination. So I always use your recipe instead! 🙂

I’ve never had honey garlic pork, but I think this recipe will work for pork! Do everything same, but instead of broiling, just sear on the pan with hint of oil. You can use any cut of pork but I recommend you to use pork butt or shoulder!

The wok and the skillet I use the most(in the video & real life) are T-fal 8inch non stick wok & large nonstick skillet. The wok is Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution line but I haven’t seen for a long time at the market. But you can find similar ones any kitchen stores or online! This is the similar one I could fine! http://amzn.to/23rT92Y
Oh, and RachelRay brand makes similar one with a lid!(http://amzn.to/20rsFw0)

did YOU create this recipe or get it from someone else, or is it proof that there is a god? because this is a majorly delicious recipe. no dipping sauce needed! my only change would be to use date syrup (silan) instead of honey. that shouldn’t be a problem, should it? could it screw up the texture of the sauce — using silan instead of honey, that is? make it less sticky, or more sticky, or not sweet enough …?

I’d like to print the recipe without all the pictures, but can’t seem to find a way to do so. Am I doing something wrong or must I print all 4 pages?

I’ve been dying to try these and finally pulled out the wok and am so happy I did. Was scared of the spicy peppers, so I dialed it down a bit, but I will be making these again!

I made this tonight for dinner and the flavor is so delicious!!! I used white cooking wine as it was all I had. I also only had chicken drums so I cooked them at 400, 25 minutes each side then broiled on high 5 minutes each side. While it was broiling I cooked that sauce. As soon as they came out I covered them in the sauce. SO DELICIOUS!!

I bought a non-stick wok just to make this recipe. Boy oh boy am I glad I did – these wings were AMAZING! The marinade was easy to do and added SO much flavor. The honey soy, garlic and pepper sticky sauce was so good I made more of it later for another dish. I ate these wings so fast I forgot to prepare the salad I planed to eat with them – LOL!!!
