PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide appropriate learning experiences and educational opportunities for each student assigned to the class.

This position focuses on strategic priority of Students: Student Growth and Achievement for Choice Filled Futures. The teacher will serve as a classroom teacher to provide instructional support for math and literacy. This person would provide additional math and literacy instruction as a connections/specials teacher. The purpose of this position is to ensure students are receiving extensive instruction in these core content areas to build a solid educational foundation. This Math and Literacy Lab session will allow students to have an extension of individualized instruction, targeted interventions, and hands on learning through the use of 21st century manipulatives and technology.

Requirements

• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Preferred: Advanced degree(s)
• Experience, Skill and Certification: Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field Elementary Education P-5.

Terms of Employment: Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification an allowable experience. This position is grant funded and is contingent on availability of funds.
